Work continues for the Herbert Hoover Dike Rehabilitation project

Working on the cutoff wall gap closure

Treviicos is continuing their work on the cutoff wall gap closure for the Herbert Hoover Dike Rehabilitation project in Belle Glade, Florida.

Treviicos is the main contractor on this job, working for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, with whom they have an extensive history. The ongoing work started in May of 2017 and is scheduled to be finished in June of 2018.

The project consists of constructing sections of the cutoff wall closure along the Herbert Hoover Dike. With a Soilmec SR-75 and a Soilmec SM-30, Treviicos is executing 39 inches of CFA predrilling for the jet grouting cutoff wall on Lake Okeechobee. The use of these two technologies have never been combined together in this environment before!
